Brass Knuckles
Tate Channel
The Tate Modern is my favorite museum in the world. This is because it has the most diverse collection in the world, and their exhibitions are monumental to say the least. So obviously i was excited when they announced they would be starting an online tv network. Ive seen most of the videos, and heres a couple of my favorites, but do yourself a favor and check the rest out.

Cold Nights Part 1: The Tunes
Everyone has nights where they dont feel particulary happy. Instead of fighting it, i surrender to the chilly vibes, and feed them the cold nutrients they crave. Art, music, and movies all play a part in the process, so im going to share some of my favorites of each category in all their depressed glory. Heres the music portion.
James Blake - Air and Lack Thereof
Burial - U Hurt Me
Clubroot - Dulcet
Bjork - Submarine
Portishead - Its a Fire
Joy Division - The Eternal
The Knife - Forest Families

Insight Gaucho Trunks
There are many reasons its weird that im posting this. For one, i hate the brand insight with a fuckin passion, the second main reason is i cant even remember the last time i was in a pool or the ocean. It might have been when i learned to swim, i dont know. All negativity aside though, if i were to purchase swim trunks, these would be them.

Ed Ruscha and Jenny Holzer
Someone once said that actions speak louder than words. Well both Ed Ruscha and Jenny Holzer think that person is a dumb asshole. Both these artists fascination with words have led to some of my favorite pieces of the last couple decades. Their is no denying that bold, printed words can be as attention grabbing as any amount of imagery. While Ed mostly kept his statements within the gallerys, Jenny took a different route, displaying massive bits of english in some of the most famous locations in the world.

Inception
I was already incredible excited for this movie, but this newest trailer has pushed me over the edge. Inception is my idea of a perfect movie, a literal mind fuck with surreal visuals in extremely capable hands of direction.

Dana Lee
I came across her s/s 10 collection a while back on the opening ceremony site and was blown away. She recently unveiled her f/w 10' collection, and it is amazing. I love the use of stiff napped cottons and the ombre plaids, heres a couple of my favorite shots from the lookbook. Check out all the snaps at http://danaleenewyork.com/ .

I still do very much keep up with rap music though, cause alot of my favorites keep pushin shit out, such as killa cam and jadakiss.

Opening Ceremony Suiting
I have mixed feelings on opening ceremony overall. The only thing ive ever bought from the brand is desert boots, because all their fits are just a bit too slim for my liking. This suit though, from their A/W 2010 lookbook, is so fuckin dope. If i ever work a job where i have to wear suits, expect to see me in alot of shit like this, as well as tweed, herringbone, and various other old man steez.
I dont think print is dead. In fact, for me, it's living a far too expansive life. I love magazines, but due to monetary and time restraints, i cant really read more than two a month. These two are usually Art Review and Monocle, which are great, but are more for learning purposes than the pure enjoyment of sexually charged photo spreads and scathing articles you see in a lot of magazines today. Due to this, a lot of great magazines dont get more than a thumb through at the local bookstore. Two magazines that i thumb often are Flaunt and Clark magazine, and this month they both murked the cover game. The neckface art juxtaposing keiichi nitta doing his best lagerfeld for clark, and a beautiful use of an old MCM bag by flaunt both gave me a little rush if instant satisfaction.

The Polka Dot Shirt
I have a feeling of confusion towards my own taste when it comes to polka dot shirts. I would think that i would think that they were a bit over the top and flashy, but what i actually think is that i think the small dots might be just enough to make the shirting stand out while maintaning a classic, dressy look. I particularly like Engineered Garments version (top), because they utilized the club collar, which really gives it a more toned down look. Unfortunately, i cant find that shirt anywhere, so i might be forced to purchase the In God We Trust shirt (bottom), which i like significantly less and is made by a brand with a stupid fucking name. If you also want to be second rate, heres the link.
In Case You Missed It
