Kenneth Anger for Missoni
Kennethe Anger is an amazing short film director. He came to prominence in the 1960's with his avant garde films, usually involving themes that were taboo for the time. Hes been relatively quiet since then, so i was very excited to see the one trick poney fashion company Missoni pull him out from the shadows. Heres the video he produced for them, as well as one of my other favorites.

The Weeks Sartorial Picks
Heres a few pieces that i particularly liked from around the web this week. The Gucci Wingtip Boots are close to perfect for me, which is suprising, because high-fashion brands always seem to fuck up shoes. The Mark McNairy pro-keds are a great summer shoe, and the Uniform Experiment shirt or teal APC belt would be a great choice to throw some siracha on any outfit.

Camo Shirting: Duck Ni**a
Apparently the u.s military is more clever than i thought. Now they have hired every single fashion company in the world to produce uniforms for them. When these shirts drop for s/s 2011, not only will we pay for our own uniform, but a law will also be passed that if your in camo you have go to to war in afghanistan no matter what your age is. So when you throw one of these on, make sure your wearing desert boots, becuase you never know where you might end up that day.

Soaked in Blood
I was informed by a burger king commerical recently that there was another one of those twilight movies out, so i figured, why not make a list of vampire movies that didnt sell themselves on how hot their lead actors are.
1. The Hunger - Tony Scott
2.Let The Right One In - Tomas Alfredson
3. Bram Stokers Dracula - Francis For Coppola
4. Interview with a Vampire - Neil Jordan
5. Nosferatu - Murnau

Adam Kimmel s/s 2011 Lookbook
Its show season, and while a few designers had strong showings, Junya in particular, the standout for me was Adam Kimmel. The presentation is teetering on the brink of wearable, but also inspires me to try new things and be more adventurous with my garment choices.Heres a few shots from the lookbook.

Andy Warhol's Late Work
Mr. Warhol has a new show at the brooklyn museum of art which showcases pieces created in his last 10 years of life. These are rarely seen by your typical warhol fan, which is everyone, and is also some of my favorite work of his. The highlight is definitely the piece, The Origin of Cotton, which is a collab with Basquiat. Images from curated mag.

These Are Not Boots
Its no mystery that nikes, vans, and converse have largely been abandoned in my daily outfits in exchange for red wings and other big things made out of leather. It is rare these days, but every so often i come across some sneakers that i would maybe wear sometimes. These are the new Converse Matchpoint III's and the vans supercorsa. They are similar in that their both suede, which is probably why i like them, and that they would look great with some chinos.
converse from darkside initiative
vans from starcow
